Fresh off the Presses

In hopes that there would not be a delay in publication, I had to accept the fact that there would be. Though for good reason! Sais' citizens pulled together and created the best and largest newspaper I have had the privileged to edit.

So without further delay, grab a chair and a drink and enjoy

An Update on the Paper's Status

Let me first start by thanking each and everyone of you who submitted a piece for this month's edition of The Sais Chronicle.

I did not expect this much so soon.

I had anticipated that the number of participants would slowly increase as the notion of the newspaper spread throughout our fair Village. I am greatly humbled by what has transpired this month. So much my cup over flows with gratitude for each of each of you!

With that said. It is taking me longer to piece together the newspaper then I had anticipated. I am still aiming to have it out today though. As I take moments away from my usual weekend routine to complete pages. I had to change page layouts, font sizes and so much more.

I do not mind this though, I actually relish in the notion that Sais as a whole came together to make this edition amazing!

Gentle Reminder

Volume 1 Issues

Feel like taking a look back at what was happening in Sais when I last published the newspaper?

You will now find on display in the Chronicle's Office, three editions of the first Volume. Feel free to take a copy to read at your discretion, over drinks or while taking a bath. Perhaps with others even, where you can discuss articles.

Eventually all issues will be available in Sais for your to view.

Humbling!

With each passing day we grow closer and closer to the arrival of Sais newspaper once again. Each day I am provided with further news reports, articles, stories, Caste updates and want ads.

I am humbled by how many have already taken to participating in the creation of the best newspaper in all of Gor. The submission of pieces as been warmly welcomed and makes my job even easier.

I am looking for several reporters still and individuals to write specific sections. If you feel you are up for the challenge or a mere task, please get in contact with me soon.

An Editor's Work is Never Done

As I sit here, quietly working on page layouts and editing articles I have already received, a smile creeps upon my face. I cannot express how humbling it is to see the Village coming together to aid in creating the best newspaper in all of Gor. Albeit, recently I was informed that there were no such things as a newspaper in Gor, I say to those naysayers a newspaper shows progress and Sais' newspaper is anything but a gossip column. It is more of a historical recount for those who will come after, it is documentation that her people lived, thrived and enjoyed their lives.

With that being said, there are a number of fabulous articles being produced. Some educational, some progressive and yes a little dash of gossip. There are comics, articles of humour, announcements and sadly maybe even a little death. This is Gor after all.

Hopefully after this edition hits the news stands, more of you will participate and make the newspaper even grander then it all ready is. It is my hopes to eventually have the newspaper so full, it could not possibly be tacked to a notice board like a mere message that is forgotten in a day or two. Only Sais' citizens will be able to make this possible.

Until the newspaper's release, put quill to paper and write. Articles will be accepted until the 26th of the month to meet the dead line for release on the 31st.

Article Submission Deadline

I have had a number of inquires as to when articles need to be submitted for the upcoming edition of the newspaper. Rest assured you have ample time to write those magnificent stories and reports. The first edition is slotted to be off the presses on January 31st. With that said the due date for articles, poems, comics, want ads, etc... is January 26th.

I have already received a number of items and look forward to what else will be provided for our historical records and for your reading pleasure.

The Newspaper has an Office

It brings me great joy to announce that the newspaper has an office. The Sais Chronicle is located in a small space between the Seamstress and the Tavern. If you have anything you wish to discuss with me, while I am working I can be found there. If I am not there or some where in the fair Village, I have also constructed a mail box, you can drop all articles in.

Come pay a visit, leave an article or two and enjoy a good chat or read of previous issues.

Happy New Year!

As we say good bye to 2014, take the time to recall the memories that were made and the events that helped shape where we are today. Bring in 2015 with great cheer and merriment. May 2015 find you and yours in good health. Here is to new beginnings and many great memories.

Calling all Contributors

With each passing day and hand we draw closer to the release of another edition of The Sais Chronicle. 

I listened and reviewed feedback concerning the first volume of the Chronicle and have made several changes to the layout.

Yet something is missing...

Articles, Sais' History, your thoughts, questions and concerns. Your works of art,  Caste news, events and reports. 

The next edition of the paper is due out on the 30th of January. Which gives you ample time to meet the submission deadline of the 26th.

I look forward to seeing what will be in the newspaper this time around. Remember this is your history, you write it every day. Free and slave alike.

Seasons Greetings!

I would like to take this time to wish each and every one of you a safe and joyful holiday. I do not normally say Seasons Greetings, but as we are a very diverse group of like minded individuals who celebrate different traditions, it was only fitting to choose a more suiting phrase.

Whether you are celebrating with family and friends or alone, may this be a time you recall with great fondness. Enjoy your time and we will see you soon within the village walls.

Welcome Back Sais!

Tal Free and Greetings Salves

Welcome to the first of many scrolls pertaining to the historic preservation of our fair village. 

If it happens within Sais' walls (or while one of our citizens is traveling), you will be sure to read about it here, through The Sais Chronicle. Our fair city will have many events, incidents and Caste reports printed here for all to read and be informed of what is taking place.

With that said, I implore each and everyone of you (Free and Slave alike) to take part in sharing what happens. I ask the Free People of Sais to write articles of interest to you for the newspaper, stories, articles, comics, ponderings of free men and free women, etc... For the slaves, you can share kennel stories, murmurs or erotica. The options are endless. I also ask each Head of Caste to provide caste news so everyone can be informed on what is happening within the city (ie new buildings, disease, advancements, etc).

I urge each of you to assist me in making this the best and most memorable newspaper in all of Gor. Keep coming back for updates concerning The Sais Chronicle and see what changes I have made to improve our history.

In the mean time, put quill and ink to parchment and let the creativity flow.

The Chronicle is Back!

After traveling for sometime, I have made my way back home to the safety of Sais. I return with a fresh outlook, a new way of thinking and a goal in mind. 

I was welcomed back last night with open arms from her citizens and I am proud to be resuming my position as the editor of the Sais Chronicle and as our fair cities Historian.

Please keep checking the notices for updates, news and for great things to come. The first edition of volume 2 will come out in January.

In the meantime I wish you all safe travels, joyous celebrations with your friends and family and may the Priest Kings bless each of you with great health.

A Decision Made....

After being away for sometime and left alone with my thoughts, I decided to make a huge life changing decision concerning my role in Sais. I need to find who I am again and in order to do that I need to step down from my post as Historian and leave Sais.

At this present time, I am not sure where I will go, nor do I know if I will return to Gor. Real life events shape my decision, along with events that occurred in-world. I have some of Sais very close to my heart and will miss each of you dearly. Who knows maybe one day I will be back to Sais (as this was the third time I had called it home.)

I will leave this paper live for those who wish to read back issues. Perhaps someone will continue where I left off. I encourage you to still write and create for the newspaper.

Working on the Newspaper

Today I finished the page layouts for the newspaper. I am very pleased with how they turned out and hope that they are well received by everyone who enjoys the newspaper. It should prove easier to read, as this was one of the suggestions for improvement.

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. It is through your feedback the newspaper improves with each new edition.

For now I take a break from the newspaper. The new edition comes out on Friday.

An Editor's Job never Ends!

As I sit here, preparing the next issue of ~ The Sais Chronicle ~ I cannot help but think of the reason why I do this. I am not doing this for myself, I am doing it for the people of Sais and for those who may venture to the village either to visit or to stay permanently.

There will be births, companionship, death, great happiness and great sorrow.

It is not the village that makes a Home Stone, it is the people.

We are family, or at least I look at all those who dwell within Sais' walls as family.

If you are reading this, and would like to participate in the newspaper, in any way, shape or form, please do. Your contributions to the newspaper are greatly appreciated and are always welcomed. After all this is YOUR newspaper!

Next edition comes out this Friday.

Another edition is being prepared

A weekend away to visit family has brought upon us another edition being prepared. As I write this post, I am also going over submissions for the newspaper. I have had some suggestions for the newspaper that I am considering with great thought.

I appreciate all the feedback I do get from everyone and I must also say that any article that I receive from individuals is given equal opportunity to be placed in the newspaper, either in the upcoming issue or future issues.

I am also considering changing the in world method of the newspaper and utilizing just the blog. I have yet to make a final decision on this. In the mean time, I return to working on the newspaper in preparation for Friday's release.

I have received some new additions to ~ The Sais Chronicle  ~ that are sure to bring some titillating excitement! Same columns with different news to report. A new column of epic erotica!
