Closing and Farewell

A Decision Made....

After being away for sometime and left alone with my thoughts, I decided to make a huge life changing decision concerning my role in Sais. I need to find who I am again and in order to do that I need to step down from my post as Historian and leave Sais.

At this present time, I am not sure where I will go, nor do I know if I will return to Gor. Real life events shape my decision, along with events that occurred in-world. I have some of Sais very close to my heart and will miss each of you dearly. Who knows maybe one day I will be back to Sais (as this was the third time I had called it home.)

I will leave this paper live for those who wish to read back issues. Perhaps someone will continue where I left off. I encourage you to still write and create for the newspaper.

Submission Extended

After much thought and consideration and speaking with the Head of Scribes, it has been agreed that submissions for the newspaper will be extended until Wednesday July 17th. As it is the summer, I fully realize that we are very busy.

I encourage everyone to participate in the Chronicle and make Sais' newspaper the best in all of SL Gor.

After doing new page layouts, editing articles, giving those who wished to participate with an article and caste news ample time, the latest edition of The Sais Chronicle, is out and ready for you to read over.

Vol. 1 No. 5, is packed with goodies that is sure to please everyone. There are new columns, a new juicy erotic tale that is so hot it needs more then one edition of the Chronicle to be in, and gossip of Sais.

Working on the Newspaper

Today I finished the page layouts for the newspaper. I am very pleased with how they turned out and hope that they are well received by everyone who enjoys the newspaper. It should prove easier to read, as this was one of the suggestions for improvement.

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. It is through your feedback the newspaper improves with each new edition.

For now I take a break from the newspaper. The new edition comes out on Friday.

An Editor's Job never Ends!

As I sit here, preparing the next issue of ~ The Sais Chronicle ~ I cannot help but think of the reason why I do this. I am not doing this for myself, I am doing it for the people of Sais and for those who may venture to the village either to visit or to stay permanently.

There will be births, companionship, death, great happiness and great sorrow.

It is not the village that makes a Home Stone, it is the people.

We are family, or at least I look at all those who dwell within Sais' walls as family.

If you are reading this, and would like to participate in the newspaper, in any way, shape or form, please do. Your contributions to the newspaper are greatly appreciated and are always welcomed. After all this is YOUR newspaper!

New Edition of ~ The Sais Chronicle ~ Has Arrived!

As I sit here ready to release the newest edition of ~ The Sais Chronicle ~, I find an explanation of why the format has changed. As I am a proud individual and never ask for assistance, I had to put off the inworld newspaper for a few months. I do not feel it is right to ask people to support the newspaper when it was my creation and vision to utilize the magazine format.

I could always go back to the more traditional format of the mundane note card, filled with endless reading materials, but then that would just make Sais' newspaper the same as everyone elses. I wanted something that stood out and above all the others. 

With that said, for now, the newspaper will be published using the blog. This method allows me to fill its pages with more information, provide up to date accounts of what is happening and get the news out to everyone soon.

Breaking News: Lone Panther Attacks Sais

Pesky panthers are far worse the fellow man raiding the fair village of Sais. I would rather suffer through a raid from another Home Stone than have to deal with panthers, especially one that runs through the tunnels where I feel safe.

Another edition is being prepared

A weekend away to visit family has brought upon us another edition being prepared. As I write this post, I am also going over submissions for the newspaper. I have had some suggestions for the newspaper that I am considering with great thought.

I appreciate all the feedback I do get from everyone and I must also say that any article that I receive from individuals is given equal opportunity to be placed in the newspaper, either in the upcoming issue or future issues.

I am also considering changing the in world method of the newspaper and utilizing just the blog. I have yet to make a final decision on this. In the mean time, I return to working on the newspaper in preparation for Friday's release.

Working Hard!

Work has already started on the new issue of ~ The Sais Chronicle  ~ Not even two days after the newspaper went out and news was already being given to me. Each edition of the paper is proving better than the next. I have new articles appearing yet again.

I intend to gather more news about the murder and who did it. There was also a kajira canjellin challenge which resulted in death. Much to report leaving little time for rest, but well worth it in the end!

Welcome!

It brings me great pleasure to present to each of you The Sais Chronicle; the Village of Sais' newspaper. A record of her people and what matters most in their daily lives. The Sais Chronicle is a means to preserving her history and a means for those coming to join the Home Stone to learn about the village's past.

The Sais Chronicle, is published on a bi-weekly basis and has many contributors, sharing elements of the daily going ons of the village. Free and Slave alike are sharing their view of life in Sais. Various topics will be discussed from Caste News to Raid Reports.
